Requirements to Join the EFR Course

Taking the EFR training does not require any specialized medical background. Here are the general requirements:

• No Minimum Age Limit: Open to all ages, from children to adults.
• Physical Condition: Must be in good health to participate in practical hands-on simulations on the floor (such as practicing CPR on a mannequin).
• Equipment: All training tools are generally provided by the course provider, though it is recommended to bring writing materials and comfortable clothing.

Course Syllabus

The training is usually divided into two main modules completed within 1 day:

1. Primary Care (CPR & Rescue Breathing): Handling life-threatening emergencies, chest compression techniques for adults/children/infants, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) usage, and choking management.
2. Secondary Care (First Aid): Handling non-life-threatening emergencies such as bandaging wounds, splinting fractured bones, assessing injuries or illnesses, and shock management.

Certificate Benefits

• Diving: EFR is a mandatory prerequisite if you wish to proceed to the Rescue Diver certification or professional levels like Divemaster in diving organizations such as PADI.
• General Public: The skills learned are highly applicable to accidents at home, in the workplace, or in public spaces.
• Validity Period: The EFR certification is valid for 24 months and can be renewed by taking a refresher course.
